Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall is like a lavish honky-tonk saloon meets bordello – conveniently relocated from the deep south of 19th century America to Caxton St. Set in the majestic old Baroona Labor Hall, Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall has become a Brisbane institution in 4 short years. The beautiful heritage listed building has previously housed tailors, communists, punk rock kids & strippers.
Stepping into Lefty’s, you’re immediately transported to an Old Western whiskey bar. Dark leather, dark timber, scarlet velvet drapes, mounted animals, chandeliers, giant mirrors, candle-lit booths, spirits mixed with freshly juiced apple and never-ending free popcorn.
Lefty’s is where you have the chance to embrace the atmosphere and let the good times roll!
The main bar offers a wide selection of whiskey (it’s all about the whiskey), American & Australian beers, nice wines and sparkling (if that’s more your do), and of course great banter from all our bartenders.
Heading upstairs to our somewhat secret Mermaid Lounge, you’re given the sense that you’re about to embark on a voyage across the seas of old. Let this hideaway bar send you on you travels while you explore a selection of 70 odd rums.
There’s nothing quite like Lefty’s and whether your guests are 18 or 80 you can be sure that we can cater to their needs.
Awarded the Best Bar in Australia by Gourmet Traveller and the Bartender Magazine’s highest industry award, Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall is truly one of the most unique venues in Brisbane and a great place to host your function with a variety of areas to choose from and to suit all your budgets and tastes.
